NI Water have published their Summary of Water Charges for the non-domestic market. NI Water Education Officer, Pat McCauley had this to say:
“These are extraordinary times and we trust you are keeping safe and well. We hope you have been reassured that during this time NI Water’s top priority has been to keep all our customers safe through the ongoing provision of safe, clean drinking water and the recycling of used water back to the environment.
As you may be aware, in April NI Water decided to defer a planned 1.7% increase in non-domestic water and sewerage charges. We also temporarily postponed issuing bills for the first quarter of the financial year, i.e. April to June. We hope this provided some relief to our business community during this period while also being cognisant of the needs of NI Water to remain operational in the current climate.
This deferral period will now come to an end on 1st October 2020. However, we will continue to work with the Department for Infrastructure, Utility Regulator and CCNI to ensure we are assisting businesses as much as we possibly can at this difficult time.
It is important customers communicate with us quickly if they believe they may struggle to pay their bill and contact our Billing Team at the earliest opportunity so that they can receive help. In all cases, we will work to agree suitable repayment arrangements.
If possible, if you have any billing queries, we would ask that you use this email address customer.billing@niwater.com. We are trying to keep our call handlers free to answer queries from customers who do not have access to our online services. However, if you have an urgent query, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0345 3006461.
We would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank you for your ongoing support of our essential services and our staff who are deemed key workers during this difficult time.
