DAERA is hosting the second online EU Exit event on 08 December 2020, aimed at providing businesses with information and guidance to help prepare for the end of the transition period on 31 December 2020.

We are writing to invite you (or your representative) to participate in this event which is specifically aimed at agri-food businesses and traders.

The event on 08 December 2020 will be from 2.00pm – 4.00pm and will include speakers from DAERA and The Food Standards Agency (FSA). The event will cover marketing standards, labelling and imports and exports

Throughout the event participants will have the opportunity to ask questions relevant to their business by using a Q&A functionality that will be available on screen.  Questions in advance of the event are also welcome via email to: EUExit@daera-ni.gov.uk by 04 December. Time might not permit all questions to be answered during the event but please be assured all questions will be answered and added to the EU Exit Q&A section on the DAERA Website. Participants must register in advance and can register now at: https://www.daera-ni.gov.uk/articles/eu-exit-webinar-events

Please note: If you or your business are moving agri-food goods and plants or plant products from GB to Northern Ireland after 1st January, you may be required to pre-notify DAERA of their arrival on TRACES.NT (the EU platform that will be used for the pre-notification process). We are organising online training on Friday 11 December to demonstrate how to complete this pre-notification step. You can register your interest in this training as part of the registration process for this webinar.

We look forward to welcoming you to our event on the 08 December. However, we do recognise that for a variety of reasons not everyone may be able/available to participate. With this in mind, all events will be recorded and posted on the DAERA Website for viewing at a time of your convenience. The recording of our first webinar on 23 November can be viewed here. A further event is also planned for 15 December 2020, details of which will be posted on the DAERA websit
