The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC) at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) is an advanced manufacturing Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) that delivers translational innovation at the interface between research and industry.

 AMIC provides a collaborative, innovative, and open access environment to address future manufacturing and product design challenges for its industrial partners.

 AMIC has received £100m from the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD) to augment current facilities with a 10,000m2 ‘Factory of the Future’ at Global Point, Newtownabbey, which will open in 2026.

 With core capabilities in digitalising manufacturing, smart design, sustainable polymers & composites, and nanotech/photonics, AMIC drives industrial transformation and the adoption of technologies for a sustainable future.
